What is a Google Number?

The GoogleNumber is the number of steps it takes to reach Google, starting at the Website. If example.org links to somesite.net, which in turn uses the Google ad syndication system, the GoogleNumber of example.org would be 2: It takes two steps (from the starting site example.org through somesite.net) to reach a Google site.
Note that only sites that are strongly linked to the "Google" brand are considered google sites. Other sites (like blogger.com) that are economically controlled by Google are not taken into account.

Google lets us access the net.

With their help, we can read and write E-Mail, find places to shop or read newsfeeds.

We can advertise our offerings, or place advertising on our websites through their services.

We can use their system to chat or read and post to newsgroups.

They even get ants and babies named after them.

We can buy a small version of them.

They help us stay organized, on the desktop, or on a global scale.

Oh, and of course, you can search for information.

They do no evil, even when going to space.

With them, who needs the Internet? I, for one, welcome our new Search Engine Overlords.
